In addition to writing, Christine is a Reading Resource teacher at a local charter school. Prior to joining the charter community, Christine taught intensive reading at a separate day school for students with emotional, behavioral, and learning exceptionalities.

A firm believer in the power of writer comradeship, Christine looks for opportunities to contribute to her local writing community. She was honored to be a guest speaker and writing mentor at the Empower 500 symposium for Language Arts teachers in Lake Mary, Florida.

She also served as a Director-at-Large for the Space Coast Writer’s Guild, and as a member of the judge's panel for the 2013 Don Argo Award. This coveted award is presented to the best recently published book by a local author with a Floridian setting.

Christine is also a judge for the Space Coast Writer's Guild's annual short story contest.

Christine is querying her first manuscript, which offers a new take on an old monster. She loves hearing about great stories from fellow readers and authors through posts on this blog.
